The Pioneer Apartments are public housing development with a total of 19 one- and two-bedroom apartments. The buildings were built in 1967. Pioneer Apartments is just south of Highway 230 and the railroad. The apartments are bound on the north by 3rd Street, on the east by C Street, on the south by 4th Street and the west by D Street.
All the buildings are brick veneer and asphalt shingles. The single-story buildings were built in 1967 and remodeled in 2012. In addition, there is a community building with an office, laundry room and newly remodeled community room. There is also a small storage shed. There is on-street and off-street parking.
This is a mixed population with families and children, as well as seniors and persons with disabilities.
